About our organization
Squad Goals is a group composed of phenomenal Black women from Oakland, in the heart of the Bay Area, united by a shared desire to give back to those in need. Growing up with just enough, we deeply understand the struggles others may face. We decided that no child should have to worry about simple necessities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, shoelaces, or socks.
We all made a commitment to give up something for ourselves to provide these essentials for children in need. What began with my grandson’s kindergarten class has grown into a mission to help whenever and wherever we see the need. Children already face so much—worrying about having the basics shouldn’t be one of their concerns.
Our mission
Our mission is to empower and support children in need by providing essential items that ensure their comfort and confidence. As a collective of dedicated Black women from Oakland, we are committed to giving back to our community and beyond, inspired by our own experiences of overcoming challenges. Through compassion and sacrifice, we strive to make a meaningful difference, ensuring that no child has to worry about the basics and can focus on their growth, education, and future.
